The Department of Health is searching for an advertising agency for an HIV awareness campaign.

The campaign, which will be worth between £2m-£10m, is to last for three years and will be aimed at gay men and African communities.

According to the tender notice: “The project will build on existing successful programmes which have engaged at a PR and social marketing level with key gay men’s commercial organisations including pubs, clubs and saunas, and with African Communities and faith leaders, in order to encourage them to promote the materials and information resources that promote best practice.”

It will aim to increase HIV testing to reduce undiagnosed and late diagnoses, reduce stigma, and develop social marketing interventions and new information technologies where appropriate.

The closing date for the tender is 17 February at midday.
