Apple accused of exploiting Whitney Houston's death as it increases download prices of her albums

Fans of Whitney Houston have accused Apple of exploiting her death after it increased the cost of her albums for download.

The cost of Houston’s Ultimate Collection album was increased by £3 following news of her death on Saturday night (11 February), Digital Spy reports, as that album and the soundtrack to The Bodyguard, rose into the top 10 download charts around the world.

Her Number 1 hit from The Bodyguard soundtrack ‘I Will Always Love You’ has already reach the top of the iTune chart since news broke of Houston’s death.
Digital Spy quoted one fan as saying: "To say I am angry is an understatement and I feel it is just a case of iTunes cashing in on the singer's death, which in my opinion is totally parasitic.

"The album itself is great so please don't be put off purchasing it, just [realise] that you will merely be lining some fatcat's pocket before Whitney's lifeless body is cold." (sic)
