Visual effects and production company VTR North is set to invest half-a-million into the opening of a new office in Manchester.

The company, which is currently based in Leeds, is to take up space in Manchester City Centre, with the office expected to open in April, featuring visual effects, editing, graphic design and sound mixing services for TV, reports thebusinessdesk.com.

Co-founder Carl Walters explained that the company would continue to operate in Leeds, but added that with the opening of MediaCity in Salford, Manchester offered a ‘bigger market’ for the company to operate within.

The company, which has worked with brands such as dfs, Gala Bingo and Toys R Us, will also target working alongside some of Manchester biggest advertising agencies.
