BMW dealers Vines of Guildford and Vines of Redhill have unveiled a four week bus rear campaign to promote the ‘joys’ of a 24 hour test drive in the BMW 3 Series saloon.
Vines marketing department wanted to touch a larger audience within their local area and expose them to Vines as their local BMW dealer.
The campaign, planned by Transport Media, focuses on specific areas within Guildford and Redhill, part of the London commuter belt, with the aim of targeting consumers while they are on their way to and from work in their current vehicle.
The test drive is been offered by the dealerships to offer motorists the chance to see how the new model can fit in their lives for 24 hours.

Or an interesting look at the effectiveness of bus advertising?

If the article did give any insight into the effectiveness of bus back advertising I would agree, however it does nothing but point out that a local BMW dealership has booked a few bus backs.
My general point was rather aimed at the Drum in losing what was it's primary focus in highlighting creative work produced outside of London. The majority of the articles originate in publications such as Campaign, Brand Republic etc and have little relevance or, I suspect , interest to the majority of the Drum's readers.
I believe that this change of focus is one of the reason few people bother to comment. I would welcome the Drum actually opening this discussion as an article to see what it's readers do feel about the content and direction it has chosen to follow. I work for a London agency but live in Birmingham, I get all the news I need regarding the articles featured on the Drum through the established sources mentioned above (and they do a better job of it)I used to enjoy the Drum because of its regional emphasis, it's lost its usp
Over to you The Drum

The Drum covers the regions as vigorously as ever.
Did you know that you can change your homepage on The Drum so you can see the type of articles you are interested in? You can do this using the MyDrum feature, and it might help you to find the content you are interested in - you can choose by category (e.g design, digital) or by region.
Hope this helps!

@thedrum I think you are missing my point, I have always kept my viewing options open to view all articles, I have seen a significant shift in the bias of your stories to London/global centric topics compared to the Drum of 12/18 months ago. It is also clear to everyone that the number of people contributing via comments has diminished to almost non- existance. You must see that people are not engaging with the Drum as they used to?
Why don't you open the question to the creative community
' has the Drum changed for the better since the new format came out in terms of content and relavence to the regional audience?'
