You've got to admire the sheer 'brass neck' of these people. Get the free input of 46 professional organisations on what they would do to raise te University's profile, then get the inhouse team to do it. Should be a new category at the next awards for 'twat of the year' and this should get automatic shortlisting. Drum would do everyone a service by flagging up if and when this client or this procurement team ever publicise another tender.
Ten languages and Yorkshire's not even one of them. 'Brace thissen lass, im ont jack. Did you feel t'foor move or appen it were t'subsidence from old mine workings. ee that were grand, our lass'.
So sad to hear of Glenn's death. Though i never worked with him, I remembered and enjoyed every time we met.
It's always tragic news when an agency folds, but when its one that has been part of the landscape for fifty years, it becomes even sadder. Although I never worked for Clarendon/Bradshaw&Allwood/Thinking Agency I did have the pleasure of meeting some of the people involved over the years and hiring one or two of them. I will also always owe a debt of gratitude that in my embryo days in the profession they did some space bookings for me. I wish all those involved at the end good luck for the future.
It's good to see growth in Yorkshire and I wish Jason every success
