Politians not listening to the public, whatever next.
As the owner of one of the larger North East design agencies I take issue with Colin Robertson drawing links between ambition, professionalism and the DBA.
My agency did join the DBA, and found that it offered very little for the large amount of money it costs to join. When the DBA recently called me to ask if i will rejoin, they didn't seem to have an answer for this lack of ROI.
None of my clients (which include many high profile national organisations) have ever heard of the DBA, and the accreditation means nothing when it is available to anyone who will pay for it.
Instead I have joined my clients trade associations, this has gained us a lot of work, boosted our reputation within our specialism and only cost 10% of the price of DBA membership.
So please don't take my reluctance to join 'our trade association' with a lack of ambition, it has everything to do with what membership actually offers me.
I am not surprised the Conservative supporters want to remain anonymous.
Beautiful!
Also worth mentioning that Sanky is from Newcastle, and studied at Newcastle College before Nottingham.
