Yawn... hasn't he heard saying things are dead is dead?
"Keith Vaz, the committee's chair, is reported to have said that the option should be looked at because it allowed people to turn up at very short notice to demonstrate and riot."
Dead right Keith. If only they'd turned off Twitter before the Poll Tax riots. Or Broadwater Farm. Or Toxteth. Or Peterloo...
I think he's damn right. It's the Andy Murray principle in reverse. Plucky British contender; miserable Scottish failure.
I'm sure the media wouldn't have been as quick to refer to disorder in Glasgow as 'British rioting.'
I predict a novel about a man unwilling and unable to embrace his responsibilities in an adult world, finding comfort and reassurance in the obsessive rituals of plane spotting.
Only when events spiral out of his control at gate 12B does he find the strength to confront the emotional issues he has been avoiding for so long and become a true father to his estranged son, Boeing. Or something..
Tweeting cops? Lololo...
