Why facebook can only fail

As well as the over saturation of ads on Facebook there is also the incredible over use of the Facebook logo as well, usually free. When will consumers tire of seeing it?

If you decide to change to another browser then you never see (insert least favour browser name here) again.

But even for FB’s non users that logo is beyond ubiquitous, often it is more prominent and larger than the branding of the website or mobile phone ads it is appearing in.

Why facebook can only fail

Fail is an emotive word but it can happen just look at MySpace, Yahoo and AOL who have failed as far as customers and investors are concerned.

The $bn 1profit to $100 bn company value ratio is way out of skew and the value of the network cant add up to $99 billion – as the stock market currently agrees with trading at $31 well under the $38 launch price. Failure, with a bit of a stink.

We often talk like Marketers but act like Customers and I create FB business pages but ignore or block the ads too. So don’t expect much revenue from me. Failure.

Privacy, will only get tighter as we learn to share less and there will be issues and backlashes galore ahead. Failure? Maybe not as kids I speak to don’t seem to care about privacy, yet.

Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games identity design agency Marque faces closure after MD Mark Noë's departure

I can’t help thinking that the Glasgow Common Guild/2014 Commonwealth Games logo fiasco can't have helped their business reputation at all.

Can anyone shed any light if this was a significant contributing factor to the demise of The Marque?

British provoked as advert portrays Falklands Islands as being part of Argentina

Great line "To compete on English soil, we train on Argentine soil”. will resonate with the target audience. If a British agency came up with this we'd be applauding. Provoked?
